Up date

Gisteren heb ik de operatie ondergaan, alles is heel voorspoedig verlopen, nu wachten op de uitslagen van het weefsel, maar voor zover ze het nu konden bekijken is alles weggenomen. Vanmorgen om 12.00 uur mocht ik weer naar huis. beetje slap en moe, maar ja dat kan niet anders, thuis is het uiteindelijk  het allerbeste.
Helaas vonden ze op de CT scan nog iets op mijn alvleesklier wat nader onderzoek vraagt,  een cyste of een oude ontsteking, waarschijnlijk niets ernstig, maar het moet wel onderzocht. Nadeel van de moderne technieken.

Yesterday I had my surgery, it all went very smooth without any complications. We now have to wait for the results, but as far as they could see now, they could take everything away. Today at noon I was alowed to go home, there is no better place to be!
Unfortunately they found on the CT scan something on my pancreas which requires further investigation, a cyst or an old inflammation, probably nothing serious, but it should be investigated.
Disadvantage of modern techniques.

Soms loopt het anders dan je denkt

Soms lopen dingen totaal anders dan je denkt, zoals gewoonlijk waren we druk met de voorbereidingen voor onze jaarlijkse reis naar Brazilie. Koffers werden al gepakt, boodschappen gedaan, de nodige chocolade en stroopwafels en dergelijke. Totdat..  Er bij mij afgelopen maandag een gezwel in de blaas werd ontdekt. Nu is het zo dat ik aanstaande maandag geopereerd word en hopelijk de hele tumor verwijderd . Een iets andere vakantie dan ik me had voorgesteld, maar ja gezondheid gaat voor alles, dus eerst dit maar even dan zien we wel verder.

Sometimes things are going ver differently than you think. As usual we where planning our trip to Brazil, suitcases packed, gifts bought and  chocolat, and stroopwafels  and other dutch treats also. 

Until ...... last monday they discovered a tumor in my blatter and I will be operated this Monday and hopefully they can remove everything. A different vacation than I had imagened but the main thing is to get healthy again and we can go on.

update

Vorige week en de afgelopen week ben ik erg ijverig geweest, niet alleen ben ik bezig geweest mijn hobbyhok op te ruimen, maar ik heb ook nog een behoorlijk aantal patchworkblokken gemaakt.

Op de beurs in Zwolle, waar ik met Sjoukje naar toe ging, heb ik het boek de Farmerswife Sampler gekocht en daar moest ik natuurlijk mee aan het werk.

wat een leuk werk is dat. Ik houd van samplers omdat je dan steeds weer iets anders maakt, teveel van het zelfde gaat me vervelen.
Kijk gauw op klara's handwerk daar zie je een foto van de eerste blokken.

TJA what can I say

Eindelijk een update op mijn blog. Ik heb goed nieuws en slecht nieuws. Ik zal beginnen met het slechte nieuws. Ik maak op het ogenblik helemaal geen miniaturen meer, omdat ik in eerste instantie geen inspiratie had en later erg veel pijn in mijn handen. Nu blijkt het dat ik een aantal versleten wervels heb in mijn handen die deze pijn veroorzaken, snijden en zagen of kracht zetten, lukt me gewoon niet meer, het is te pijnlijk.
Werken met stofjes en lapjes is altijd  een favoriete bezigheid van mij geweest, dus heb ik mij maar weer eens op het patchwork gestort (niet letterlijk hoor) Ik ben hiervoor een nieuw blog begonnen, je kunt er via de knop in de navigatiebalk komen of hier Ik heb daar wat resultaten van mijn werk neer gezet, dus kijk maar eens.

Finally an update on my blog. I have good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news. I'm currently not making any miniatures, because at first I had no inspiration and then a lot of pain in my hands. Now it appears that I have artrosee in my hands that causes much pain, cutting and sawing  I just can't do , it's too painful.

Working with fabrics has always been a favorite pastime of mine, so I took up making patchwork I started a new blog, you can use the button in the navigation bar or go here I have some results of my work posted there, so take a look if you want

You must be thinking........

I know it is to long ago I posted something, the end of the schoolyear was very hectic and there was a lot to do and I am having a totall miniature block. Nothing absolutely nothing made for weeks. I am at my daughters place right now enjoying family and vacation. You know she lives in Brasil so these are valuable days. I took some needlework to do and you can see what I am up to , at Klara Meijer designs. Not that I designed that myself,it is part of the Forget Me not Bom. I have to change the blogs when I am back home, the blog wil be used for my needlework and patchwork. My daughter has this project with pregnant teenagers and she also learns them to make patchwork, so that they can sell things to make live a little bit easier, they come from poor families and are very young. The youngest is 13 years!
I am taking time think how I will go on after the vacation with my miniatures and so on I will not stop making miniatures, but I have some choices to make, because it is to much I think about leaving it at one house and one house alone rather than have multi projects and none ever finishes. So I will clean out my workroom and get some space in my head also. I have got some lovely gifts last months but I dont have the pictures here so can't show them yet. Hope to be back soon have a good day

meet Appleblossom

Hello, I finally finished something, meet Apple blossom a sweet little rabbit. I really like apple blossom, it is a pity the tree does bloom so short. I have a little apple tree in my garden, only we forgot to trim the stalks this year, so we don't have much blossoms, but when I saw the blossom I knew this rabbit would be called Apple blossom

Queensday

Today is Queensday in the Netherlands, a national holliday and the fact is that my husband and I met each other on queensday 40 years ago

Long time ago

I have no excuse for not posting for such a long time, so I will not do so, lets keep it that real live took to much. lol

Since my fall on the street I did not make any miniatures, I have a minature block so to say, but I have been there before, so I will get back, don't worry. I have some miniatures I got to show , but I don't have a picture yet, I will try the coming week to post the pictures, this week is a very busy week at school, we are preparing the examinations and on thursday we have a big gala for the kandidates. The staf is preparing a diner and they will serve the meal to the pupils. We have 100 students to prepare diner for! I am one of the coordinators so I have a lot to do. It is very nice to do, but a lot of work also. I leave it to this for now, but in the end of the week I will be back I promise I have a week holiday than, before the examens begin.
